About

Central Valley Christian Academy

Our History

Central Valley Christian Academy was founded as a ministry of Central Valley Baptist Church in Manteca, CA in 2013. Our community needed a place where families that were seeking a quality, Bible-based education could enroll their children without the humanistic-based philosophy that is being taught in public schools throughout our state. Over the past several years, Central Valley Christian Academy has been instrumental in helping families give their children a safe, Christian atmosphere wherein to learn and grow.

As a ministry of Central Valley Baptist Church, Central Valley Christian Academy offers open enrollment to any member of Central Valley Baptist Church. Selective enrollment is accepted on an individual basis through interviews with Pastor Parry Dalzell for parents desiring to have their children enrolled at Central Valley Christian Academy who are not members of Central Valley Baptist Church.

The ultimate authority and doctrine taught at Central Valley Christian Academy is exclusively the Bible. God has truly blessed Central Valley Christian Academy as it has had growing enrollment every semester with new classes. Central Valley Christian Academy is committed and has a strong desire to provide a safe and godly environment for Christian children to attend school.

Our Mission

Central Valley Christian Academy’s mission is to assist Christian parents in developing their young person to be able to fulfill God’s will for their life at their maximum potential. To fulfill that mission, Central Valley Christian Academy adopts high academic and behavioral standards. A young person who has a solid education is much better prepared to fulfill God’s will, wherever it may lead. Students at Central Valley Christian Academy will not only learn the ever-important lessons in reading, writing, and arithmetic, but also be instructed in the Biblical principles God has given for their life.

Our Philosophy

Our school is a ministry of Central Valley Baptist Church designed to help families train their children for Christian service. Our approach is a complementary one. God has established the family as the principal entity to train children, with the church serving as a second platform of spiritual training and leadership development for the family. The Christian school provides a third source of godly influence. This arrangement is truly successful only if the direction being set by all three is in agreement.

For this reason, it is vital that parents agree with the doctrine and philosophy of Central Valley Baptist Church, which are held wholly by Central Valley Christian Academy, as well. A child, placed in an environment in which the family follows a direction contrary to that of the church and the school, is a child given to much confusion and strife within his own thoughts and actions. It should be understood that our primary goal is to produce and develop servant leaders for Christ. Students are led to develop the “mind of Christ” (Philippians 2:5) in their lives. A key reason for the existence of Christian education is to establish an environment that will develop a sound biblical worldview. Central Valley Christian Academy has developed a program to minister to the complete student. This is accomplished through four areas of emphasis:

The first and strongest emphasis is the spiritual growth of the child and family. The clear teaching of the Bible is the best foundation for learning. The Bible is not only taught as a class, but also permeates every other subject. We endeavor to introduce each child to Christ and to direct children and families to thoroughly know and live the Bible.

The second emphasis is on academics. The school uses a Christian curriculum. We provide an academic climate that promotes academic excellence to best prepare students to fulfill God’s will for their lives.

The third and fourth areas of emphasis are proper social and physical development. The school sponsors events, field trips, music, and programs teaching our students to exalt Christ with their God-given talents, abilities, and skills. Our physical education and athletic programs are expanding to meet the needs of our students.

Our Purpose

The purpose of Central Valley Christian Academy is to educate and train the whole studentphysically, socially, intellectually, and spiritually. Because the Lord requires a fit vessel, guidelines for personal habits, definite dress codes, and proper leisure time activities are provided. The principle of self-discipline is the basis of our disciplinary structure. We believe the student must honor the rights of others and respect the individual’s freedom.

Not only must our students have their appearance and actions reflect the Lord Jesus, but they must also acquire wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to serve the Lord. Therefore, the Bible is not substituted for any academic subject, but is integrated into the entire educational program. The Bible is taught so that the student will develop sound values that will govern every step of their life.

Central Valley Christian Academy desires to send out into the world, young people who will be lights in this night of spiritual darkness. The objective of our school is to prepare full-time Christian workers to be thrust into the harvest field. Our purpose is to train and prepare young people for full-time Christian service. Our desire is that every student will seek God’s perfect will for his life – whether that includes full-time service or not.
